366 Songs

Design-wise, this was project was fairly simple, perhaps comically so in comparison to the client’s (Mark Elliot Cullen’s) herculean effort to write and record 366 songs every day for the entire year of 2008 (it was a leap year, in case you forgot). If you’re curious, all of the songs can be listened to here.

My goal with the logo was to emphasize the enormity of the undertaking, lending it an “epic” quality with the Copperplate Gothic font and “Western” edge, as well as through the hierarchically-sized fonts, placing stress on the number “366,” while also prominently featuring the artist’s name.

Looking back, I think I would replace the Copperplate Gothic with Rockwell, which seems better suited to the design, as well as to have the logo on the website be fixed on the left-hand side, allowing for the content to have greater prominence on each of the pages.
